In the process of continuous improvement, WUWER has introduced an innovative standard for PLC controller programming, dedicated to control systems in the intralogistics industry. The new standard, called “WuSoft,” responds to the latest trends in automation, enabling the unification of the programming process within a team and maintaining order between different projects. Thanks to this initiative, we managed to shorten programming and integration time by up to 40% while significantly reducing costs.
The standard was developed by a team of experienced programmers in cooperation with the Polish Programmers’ Champion, who regularly conducts training at the leading training center in Poland (EMT). We constantly update our knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in this field. “WuSoft” is systematically developed with new functionalities, such as statistics for assessing system performance and reliability or data aggregation. The last of the mentioned functions allows for the prediction of potential stops in order to plan them in advance and carry out necessary service work.
The standard is based on the Structured Language (SCL). This high programming language enables the use of additional supporting programs that automate code creation. Therefore we eliminate human errors and speed up the programming of repetitive parts of logic. Moreover, the use of additional programs allows us to control the current version between the program in the controller and the electrical documentation created in the EPLAN environment.
Our standard is fully compatible with the modern visualization system from Siemens (such as Unified Panels) and remote control using the Atvise SCADA system from Bachmann. Additionally, it allows cooperation with SQL databases directly at the PLC level. It is also possible to cooperate with Atvise SCADA to reduce the load on the controller cycle.
The standard and supporting programs fully cooperate with Emulate3D emulation from Rockwell, which allows us to create a digital twin of the system. The digital twin facilitates comprehensive testing prior to deployment, along with streamlined diagnostics of operational systems.
