The key to improving internal logistics is to eliminate the so-called bottlenecks, i.e. places where time is wasted or unnecessary inventory is built, slowing down the passage of product. One of our clients recognized a bottleneck in the form of too low efficiency of the packaging process (production potential significantly exceeded the capabilities of the packaging line).
Thanks to the use of innovative solutions proposed by WUWER, our client received an automated parcel transport system with four final collection points, parcels are automatically identified and sorted, and even quick quality control is carried out. Moreover, the entire installation has its virtual twin – a digital model of the actual packaging line, which runs on a cloud platform and emulates the state of the actual installation. The digital twin enables rapid system startup and elimination of potential errors before the physical launch of a given line.
